In any country it is considered its own. American hot dog is eaten with pleasure by both children and adults. This, one of the most popular fast foods in the world, is considered an American invention, although its roots are German. The taste of a hot dog largely depends on the quality of the two main ingredients - sausage and bun. According to Americans, not every sausage is worthy of a hot dog.
Chop the onion into half rings, dip it in a bowl of hot water for a few minutes to remove the bitterness and smell, and drain in a colander. Then heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan and fry the onion until golden brown and crispy. Place on paper towels to remove excess oil.
Cut the pickled cucumbers into thin slices. Prepare the buns: cut them in half along the long side, but not all the way through, so that the halves can open like a book. If the sausages are in film, remove it.
Heat a grill pan, grease with vegetable oil. Place sausages and buns on the hot pan and fry until dark stripes appear, turn over once.
Transfer the fried sausages and buns to a cutting board. Open the hot bun slightly (it is better to do this with gloves on to avoid getting burned) and spread mustard on one side.
Place a hot dog on half of a bun with mustard, pour tomato sauce over it, spread fried onions and cucumber slices on top and cover with the other half of the bun. Serve the hot dogs immediately.
Finely chop the onion. Finely chop the garlic.
Wash the tomatoes, pour boiling water over them and peel them. Cut the tomatoes into cubes. Wash the bell pepper, remove the seeds and cut into cubes or strips.
Put the onion and garlic in a frying pan with vegetable oil and fry for ~3 minutes.
Add the chopped beef or minced meat to the onion and fry over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for 5-6 minutes.
Add the bell pepper and tomato paste to the meat, stir and simmer over medium heat, stirring, for another 5 minutes.
Then add the tomatoes, corn and beans to the pan - mix everything well.
Add salt, a little sugar, ground chili pepper, stir again, reduce the heat, cover with a lid and simmer for 15-17 minutes, stirring occasionally.
A very simple and homely dish. It can be served with pasta, but it is best served with a bun, with the whole family around one frying pan. In Mediterranean cuisine, fried onions are not usually added to tomato sauce, but in this recipe they fit in wonderfully.
Prepare the ingredients. Peel the onion, carrots and sausages. Cut the sausages into circles.
Heat the frying pan and put the sausages on it. If the frying pan does not have a non-stick coating, grease it with oil beforehand. Lightly fry the sausages on both sides.
Finely chop the onion. Remove the sausages and in the same pan, add oil and fry the onion until golden.
Grate the carrots. Add them to the pan with the onions. Lightly fry the vegetables over medium heat. Chop the cabbage. Add them to the vegetables in the pan.
Mix well, cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes. Monitor the simmering process and, if there is not enough juice from the vegetables, periodically add 2-3 tbsp of water.
At the end of cooking, add tomato paste, salt, and pepper. Stir until the paste is evenly distributed. Put the browned sausages here.
